One of my favorite parts about blogging is getting to interact with my viewers.
I also know that my content takes time to examine and, in return, I like to pay my readers back.
So this year, since I recently engaged in a Twitter account, I figured that a good way to accomplish both of these two tasks would be through a Twitter trivia contest.
Or better yet…17 Twitter trivia contests.
Here are the official rules and the instructions on exactly how these contests will work:
- There will be an NFL trivia contest every Thursday during the duration of the 2014 NFL regular season. The first contest will be on September 4th, 2014. The last will take place on December 25th, 2014.
- Though the actual contest is not until Thursday, you can get a head start and find out the exact time of the contest every Tuesday. I will tell you the time somewhere in that week’s NFL picks segment. It will be written in a straight-forward manner (I will not be making it a riddle), but I may change where in the post it is written week-by-week.
- At that pre-designated time on Thursday, I will release a blog post that includes that week’s NFL trivia question (this question will likely be related to that week’s Thursday Night Football game). The first user to tweet the correct answer to @jacobs_sports will be the weekly winner. However, you must tweet me the answer within one hour of the question’s release. If nobody gets it right within an hour, that week’s contest will be void.
- Weekly winners get a shout-out on Twitter, a shout-out on next week’s contest, and get put into a random drawing. After all of the contests, one of those weekly winners will be randomly selected and rewarded a virtual $10 Amazon gift card.
- There is no limit to the amount of times you can tweet me and there is no limit to the amount of times you can win. If a person wins multiple times, their name will be entered into the random drawing as many times as they won the weekly contest.
- In order to be elligible to win the season contest, you must be following @jacobs_sports on Twitter. If I draw your name (this drawing will take place sometime around December 26th, 2014) and you are not following me, I will randomly pick someone else. If none of the weekly winners are following me, then no one will win the gift card.
- If you win, I will direct message you on Twitter, asking for an e-mail address to which I will send the Amazon gift card. If you fail to respond within 15 days of that message, I will randomly select another winner.
